The kitchen for a new “vintage” home is composed
of three adjacent spaces - kitchen, breakfast area, and family
room, located at the back portion of the main level. Separated
by gently curving walls and varied lighting, each space opens
to the other, providing a sense of connectedness, without
being overtly contemporary. Porches extend across the width
of the house, creating outdoor dining and relaxation spaces
that transition to the patios and lush rear yard beyond.
An “open” butler's pantry functions as both a secondary kitchen
and traditional serving area for dinners in the formal dining
room.
